Merchant Policy
Rules for merchant onboarding, listings, inventory, fulfilment, consumer obligations and settlement on BidnBuy.
1. Application
This Policy applies to merchants and self-service marketplace sellers operating on BidnBuy. Separate arrangements may apply to casual sellers whose items are managed directly by BidnBuy.
2. Merchant Onboarding
BidnBuy may require merchants to provide identity, business, contact, bank or settlement information, KYC documentation and other information required for marketplace or regulatory purposes.
3. Accurate Listings
Merchants must provide truthful and sufficiently complete information concerning product name, description, condition, price, quantity, authenticity, known material defects, specifications and material restrictions. Used, refurbished, reconditioned or second-hand goods must be clearly identified.
4. Auction Listings
Where a merchant's product is offered through a BidnBuy auction, the merchant must accurately disclose its condition and known material characteristics. Auction items are sold AS IS under the BidnBuy Auction Rules.
The AS IS rule does not permit a merchant to conceal a material defect, provide false information, misrepresent an item or engage in fraud.
5. Product Legality and Pricing
Merchants must not list illegal, counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, unlawfully represented or BidnBuy-prohibited goods. Prices and charges must be accurate and not misleading.
6. Inventory and Fulfilment
Merchants are responsible for maintaining accurate stock availability and fulfilling valid orders within applicable service requirements. They must cooperate with BidnBuy and authorised logistics or fulfilment partners.
7. Returns and Consumer Rights
Merchants must comply with the BidnBuy Returns & Refund Policy. Auction items are AS IS and are not eligible for BidnBuy change-of-mind returns or refunds. Merchants remain responsible for fraud, misrepresentation and other matters for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Payments and Settlement
Merchant proceeds may be subject to payment confirmation, marketplace fees, escrow, transaction completion, applicable dispute controls, approved refunds, chargebacks, fraud review and other legitimate settlement controls.
9. Fraud and Manipulation
- Creating fake orders or ratings.
- Submitting sham bids or manipulating the merchant's own auctions.
- Concealing material product information.
- Creating artificial marketplace activity.
10. Casual Sellers
A platform-managed casual seller is not necessarily subject to the normal merchant wallet and KYC onboarding process. Such transactions may use a separate BidnBuy-managed settlement model.
11. Account Enforcement
BidnBuy may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate a merchant account for material or repeated violations. Serious fraud, counterfeit activity, security risk or unlawful conduct may justify immediate restriction.
